The MARSTEK VENUS E Mini is an ultra-slim plug-in energy storage system designed for balcony solar systems, existing rooftop PV installations and dynamic electricity tariffs.
Its compact all-in-one housing combines a 2 kWh LiFePO₄ battery, a bidirectional inverter, smart energy management and a dedicated backup socket. With up to 1.5 kW charging and discharging power, the VENUS E Mini stores surplus solar energy and supplies it to household loads when electricity is needed.
At only 105 mm deep and weighing 22 kg, it can be installed on a wall in a balcony area, utility room, garage or other space-saving location.

Store more of your own solar energy
The MARSTEK VENUS E Mini stores surplus energy from an existing solar installation or balcony PV system. When household consumption exceeds current solar production, the battery releases the stored energy to reduce grid consumption.
Because the system is connected on the AC side, it can be combined with many existing PV systems without replacing the current solar inverter.
Compact plug-and-play energy storage
The VENUS E Mini combines the battery, bidirectional inverter, communication interfaces and energy management system in one compact enclosure.
Once mounted and connected using the designated grid connection, the system can be configured through the MARSTEK app.
Its space-saving design makes it suitable for:

2 kWh battery with up to 1.5 kW power
The integrated LiFePO₄ battery provides approximately 2 kWh of usable energy storage capacity. The bidirectional inverter allows the unit to charge from surplus solar generation or, depending on the selected operating mode, from the grid.

Backup power during a grid outage
A dedicated backup socket can continue supplying selected appliances during a power outage.
With 1.5 kW continuous backup output and up to 1.8 kW peak power, it can support suitable loads such as:

- routers and network devices
- lights
- laptops and mobile devices
- televisions
- small household appliances
- other compatible devices within the rated output
The EPS transfer time is specified at approximately 10 ms.
Please note: Backup power is provided through the dedicated backup outlet. Whole-home backup requires additional compatible equipment and electrical installation.
Smart control through the MARSTEK app
The MARSTEK app provides real-time monitoring and several operating modes.
Self-consumption mode
Surplus solar energy is stored automatically and released when household demand exceeds solar generation.
Manual mode
Users can create charging and discharging schedules and define the desired power level.
AI optimisation mode
The system can use electricity tariff data, forecast consumption and expected solar generation to optimise charging and discharging.
UPS mode
A configurable energy reserve can be maintained for possible grid outages.
Optional zero-export control
When combined with a compatible MARSTEK smart meter, the battery can respond to real-time household demand.
This allows the system to:
- detect surplus solar generation
- adapt discharge power to household consumption
- reduce unnecessary grid export
- improve self-consumption
- monitor power flows in real time
A smart meter is only included when explicitly stated in the selected bundle.
Compatible with existing PV installations
The AC-coupled design allows the VENUS E Mini to be integrated with many types of solar systems, including:
- balcony PV systems
- microinverter systems
- rooftop PV systems
- string inverter systems
- existing solar installations without battery storage
Expandable with MARSTEK SmartBox
Two VENUS E Mini units can be combined with a compatible MARSTEK SmartBox to create a larger backup system.
Possible combined system capacity:
- up to 3 kW output power
- up to 4 kWh battery capacity
The SmartBox and second VENUS E Mini are sold separately unless included in the selected package.
Ultra-slim wall-mounted design
With a depth of just 105 mm, the VENUS E Mini takes up very little space. Its wall-mounted design is particularly suitable for locations where a conventional floor-standing home battery would be too large.

The VENUS E Mini has an IP65-rated enclosure and an operating temperature range from −20 °C to +60 °C.
For long-term outdoor use, the unit should still be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and protected from direct sunlight, flooding and permanently exposed weather conditions.
Quiet natural cooling
The system uses natural cooling and operates at a specified sound level below 30 dB, making it suitable for installation close to living areas.
