Frequently Asked Questions
1. How does Jupiter C+ work with solar panels?
It stores solar energy and feeds it into the grid via the integrated micro inverter. The output can be limited or adjusted via a smart meter.
2. Can I control the output power?
Yes – via touchscreen, app, or automatically through a smart meter.
3. Is it expandable?
Yes, up to 3 battery units, total 10.24kWh.
4. Which smart meters are supported?
CT002, CT003, Shelly 3EM, and P1-compatible meters.
5. What should I consider when using the Jupiter C+ in winter?
At low temperatures, the activity of lithium batteries decreases, which can cause high and rapid power consumption from the battery. Therefore, the following recommendations should be observed when using the system in winter:
- Reserve 30–50% Battery Charge:
During winter, it is recommended to reserve at least 30% to 50% of the battery's capacity to avoid low battery performance. In particular, during continuous snowy weather, it is advised to maintain 70% of the battery level to ensure there are sufficient reserves.
- Avoid Discharging Right After Full Charge:
If the battery has not been used for more than a week and is fully charged, it is recommended to pause discharging and ensure it drops below 90% before resuming output.
- Avoid High-Power Discharges:
Discharging the battery with high power loads in winter is discouraged, as PV production is lower and charging is more difficult. Long-term high-load discharging may result in decreased battery performance.
- Check PV Module Function Regularly:
Always ensure that your solar panels are producing power. After heavy snowfall, panels may be covered and unable to supply energy to the battery for an extended period.
